The Sale - We call this a swap (people swapping old for new) but this is actually a consignment sale. MVSC Ski & Sport SwapThis means convenience for you.You don't have to hang around trying to sell your equipment. You just drop off your gear Friday morning and then on Saturday morning, you pickup any unsold items along with a check for your sold items.  In the meantime, you can get to the Christmas Stroll or whatever else is going on. You can, of course also hang out at the swap and help out or look for something new or used to replace the items you are selling.

How we (you and us) make money - You bring your clean, in-safe-condition items, you price it, we tag it and check it into our inventory system. We take 15% of the selling price and you take home 85%. There are no mark-downs or discounting during the sale. We sell it for the price you set.  Old, unsaleable and/or unsafe  items (dedact skis ) will not be accepted.  Old, dirty clothing items will not be accepted.

Preparation - Just bring your items to the downtown location (TBD). There will be signs directing you to the appropriate location. We will have inventory cards for you to fill out and have someone there to help you fill them out. We will even provide some assistance with pricing and we handle the rest.

Acceptable Items - Gear can be snow sport equipment (ATV's, snowmobiles, etc.); gear can be hard goods (skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, helmets, poles, etc.) or soft goods (pants, jackets, fleese, gloves, hats, etc.). In addition, we will accept antique skis, poles and sleds that may be used for Interior Design purposes.  Underware and socks are not allowed.  Old unsafe condition or unsaleable gear will be rejected.

Equipment and Check Policy - No returns available, purchase and use snow sport equipment at your own risk.  Montana checks accepted with a valid identification.  All nonsufficient fund returned checks will incur a penalty of $30 per occurrence.  Cash is always welcome!

Purpose - Provide an opportunity for Madison Valley residents and guests to sell snowsports equipment and accessories which they have grown out of, either physically or through increased skill level.  Reduce the cost of the snowsports experience for the community by providing lower priced new and used equipment.

Thank you for participating in our annual Snow Sports Swap whether volunteering, buying, selling or all three. We will do our very best to make this a great experience for everyone.  For information about the Ski Club and Snow Sports Swap, or volunteering at the Snow Sports Swap, please visit www.madisonvalleyskiclub.org or call 682-3377 for details.
